We're hiring again! - Two more full-stack developers

23.02.2018

Our office is in a newly renovated co-working space, which will blow your mind. The conference rooms are glass cubes extending from the outer wall and the coffee from the state-of-the-art 16 choice coffee machine is free!

IN A NUTSHELL

Tidy is looking for developers to help us further develop our website platform and work on other projects.

WHAT WE DO

Tidy is a website platform for fast website creation and easy website updating. We strive to one day replace WordPress as the world's most popular CMS.

The first version of the product is done, we have a solid customer base, we're profitable and now it's time to start scaling, conquer the world and enter the next phase of development.

WHAT YOU WOULD DO HERE

Your responsibility would be a large array of tasks related to adding new features to the platform and improving existing ones. You'd also work on some exciting new products that we have planned.

We're looking for a coder, not a designer, but we'd prefer that you understand at least the basics of UX design so that you can develop new components independently. If you know how to design too, that's a bonus.

Being a startup everyone gets to do everything, so if you have some other talents, we'll certainly put them all to use.

Currently, we develop with:

  • Vue.js with Vuex and Vuetify
  • Node.js with Feathers.js and Sequelize
  • Sass and Stylus
  • Postgres

but we're constantly updating our stack to only include the best tools.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

You need to be a developer who can build complex UIs from scratch using technologies like Angular, React or Vue.js, Node.js, SQL and Less, Sass or Stylus. Also, it doesn’t hurt if you know other parts of our stack (Webpack, Gulp, Postgres, Amazon AWS, Vagrant, Ansible).

And as we have an international team, you need to be able to write/speak decent English.

WHERE YOU LIVE

Our main office is in Turku and we'd prefer that you'd live close enough to work there as developing is more efficient when everybody is in the same room. If we can't find enough good people to fill the office, working remotely is plan B, but then we'd prefer that you'd code during the same office hours as we do.

AND FINALLY, WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU

Modern tools. Only work with the best technologies where the only constraint is you, not the stack or legacy.

Modern code. The oldest UI code is 18 months old.

Innovation and responsibility. You'll play an important part in the frequent decisions regarding features, technologies and architecture.

Challenge. We're competing against WordPress and alike, so we need to come up with lots of "never seen before" features.

Thrills. The ups and downs of the daily life in an internationally growing startup. It's not always pleasant and sometimes a bit stressful, but it's always fast and never boring.

Decent compensation. A competitive salary.

A fun place to work in. The entire team is highly motivated, social and extremely skilled at whatever they do. If you're the same, you'll fit right in.

WHAT TO SEND US AND WHEN

Send us whatever you want, but do it now. There's no deadline and we'll hire as soon as we find two good candidates. Please bring a friend. :) You'd better mail us immediately at jobs@tidycms.com. As we're trying out a lot of different marketing channels, please also tell us where you saw our job post.
