IN A NUTSHELL
Tidy is looking for a developer to build UI components.
WHAT WE DO
Tidy is a website platform for fast website creation and easy website updating. We strive to one day replace WordPress as the world's most popular CMS.
The first version of the product is done, we have our first reference customers and now it's time to start scaling and the next phase of development.
WHAT YOU WOULD DO HERE
The Tidy UI is built with Vue.js and Node.js. It communicates with a Symfony API.
Your responsibility would be the UI and everything related. This means developing new UI components and fixing bugs in existing ones. You would also be in charge of creating new modules and widgets that our clients use on their websites.
We're looking for a coder, not a designer, but we'd prefer that you understand at least the basics of UX design so that you can develop new components independently. If you know how to design too, that's a bonus.
Being a small startup everyone gets to do everything, so prepare yourself mentally for at least some user/developer support, and if you have some other talents, we'll certainly put them all to use.
However, there's so much to do with the UI, that it will take 90% of your time.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
You need to be a developer who can build a complex UI from scratch using technologies like Angular, React or Vue.js and style with Less or Sass. Also, it doesn’t hurt if you know other parts of our stack (Webpack, Gulp, Node, Symfony, Postgres, Amazon AWS, Vagrant, Ansible).
And as we have an international team, you need to be able to write/speak a decent English.
WHERE YOU LIVE
Close enough to work at the Turku office. Developing is more efficient when everyone is in the same room.
AND FINALLY, WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU
Modern tools. Only work with the best technologies where the only constraint is you, not the stack or legacy.
Modern code. The oldest UI code is 12 months old.
Innovation and responsibility. You'll play an important part in the frequent decisions regarding features, technologies and architecture.
Challenge. We're competing against WordPress and alike, so we need to come up with lots of "never seen before" features.
Thrills. The ups and downs of the daily life in an internationally growing startup. It's not always pleasant and sometimes a bit stressful but it's always fast and never boring.
Decent compensation. A competitive salary.
A fun place to work in. The entire team is highly motivated, social and extremely skilled at whatever they do. If you're the same, you'll fit right in.
WHAT TO SEND US AND WHEN
Send us whatever you want, but do it now. There's no deadline and we'll hire as soon as we find a match. You'd better mail us immediately at firstname.lastname@example.org.
